Location

San Miguel de Allende sits at an altitude of 6,435 feet above sea level. Located in Central Mexico it is easily reached from Mexico City which is 177 miles away, the nearby León Airport which is 1 hour and 30 minutes away from the hotel or the Queretaro Airport, just 1 hour from the hotel. 

Guests may fly into either Mexico City, Queretaro Airport or the Guanajuato-Leon Airport.  All of which are served by airlines flying.

Casa Sierra Nevada offers guests high quality transportation, bilingual drivers, air conditioned cars, secure roadways, etc.  We also arrange transfers from and or to many different Mexican states wherever your next destination is located.

Transfers and Directions

Guests may fly into either Mexico City, Queretaro Airport or the Guanajuato-Leon Airport.

The Queretaro Airport has direct flights from Houston and is served by Continental and Aeromar and is an hour drive away.

Guanajuato-Leon Airport has direct flights from Dallas, Los Angeles, Houston, San Jose and Oakland (California), and Mexico City, and is served by American Airlines, Continental, Mexicana, and Aeromexico and is a scenic one and a half hour drive away.  Transportation from the hotel can be arranged (see below.)

Mexico City Airport is served by most major airlines including Aeromexico, Mexicana, KLM, US Airways, Air Canada, Delta, Lan Chile, Continental, American, Alitalia, Air France, Alaska Air, Japan Airlines, Taca, Swissair, Lufthansa, United, Varig, and Iberia and is a three hour drive away.

A high-speed toll road to and from Mexico City (Highway 57) is accessible 20 minutes away from San Miguel.  The same highway runs north to San Luis Potosi, Matahuala, Saltillo and from there connect to toll roads to Monterrey and Nuevo Leon.
